Apologies for the bad photo quality... It's about the best I can do at the moment, considering this spider is up inside of a desk lamp that I use on my front porch. One is the original, the other is a cropped version of the original.
It has a haphazard web, and this is in Southwest Florida (Sarasota). If it's not identifiable by the photo, let me know and I'll do my best to snap one when she descends on an unwitting bug :) I just discovered her, and I love where she is because she's making short work of the annoying, tiny bugs that get into the porch. I just want to be sure she's not dangerous or anything. Thank you!
CLOSED: Another Spider ID Please!
From its pose, it looks more like a theridiid such as a common house spider than an orb weaver. Definitely nothing dangerous...
As always, you nailed it! Thanks :)
