My six healthy looking eggplants have no flowers. The peppers, squash, cukes and tomatoes nearby all have the amount of fruit expected.
Any ideas what went wrong?
No flowers on eggplant.
What do you feed your eggplants ? I use Fish Emulsion fertilizer and I notice there are lots of bloom on the plants. Do some research on eggplants and this fertilizer and it might help you with them. But I grow my eggplants in containers because I have better results than in the ground.
Someone told me elsewhere that a cold snap at the wrong time can prevent flowering. I'm pretty sure that must be what happened, as we've had extremely variable weather the last couple of years... this summer included.
