Hi... Just harvested my new potatoes and want to save some to replant. We have a spare refrig that I can set to whatever temp I need , can they be stored there? Also, none of these appear to have any "eyes" will they be more obvious when I take them out to harden them off before planting?
Storing and replanting seed potatoes
All potatoes have eyes. What is "harding them off".
A nice dry, dark spot at 40º to 60º will keep them just fine. A refridgerator will not work. No air movement & humid.
When it warms, sprouts will appear. Break them off or they will bet terribly long.
Good luck.
