Hello, I'm at a loss as to the identification of this insect egg or case. They are hard and dry, pretty easy to brush off the leaf. Not densely populated on the leaf but seems to be one or two per leaf. All on the top of the leaf. I haven't measured but I'd guess they are about 3 millimeters long or shorter.

These look more like plant seeds to me than anything insect-related...
