Hi Everyone,
New to the forums. I live in San Diego and found this guy in my garage today. About 2 inches in diameter (including legs). Something I have never seen before. We get black and brown widows pretty frequently in the summer but have never seen a spider like this before. I looked quite a bit online but didnt find anything that looked like an exact match. Please help me ID what it is.

Looks like a wolf spider, maybe in the genus Alopecosa - see http://farm8.static.flickr.com/7489/16150902010_004814a950_m.jpg for an example.
