I found this spider in August in Virginia Beach in my garage, by a door to the outside. It was near an irregular looking web.
This photo was taking after the spider was dead for quite awhile and I had the idea of getting help to identify it.
Thanks for an input.

It looks like a theridiid (cobweb/comb-footed spider) to me, but the closest I can come there is Nesticodes rufipes (red house spider - see https://i.ytimg.com/vi/J3D1JbFLBVM/hqdefault.jpg for an image), but you are well north of that species' known range...
If it has a red hourglass underneath, it's a poisonous Black Widow....
Dear Rise22 - Black widows do not have a reddish cephalothorax such as this specimen has; and they are venomous, not poisonous, a rather important distinction...
