I had my ferns in my sunny greenhouse last winter. They did not do well. The leaves turned brown like they were receiving too much sun. Or maybe I didn't keep them wet enough. I need some hints on how to keep them healthy this coming winter. Thanks in advance.
Ferns in a greenhouse
Hi Retta2,
It would depend on the fern, though generally ferns are a shade plant, and they do not like to completely dry out. If the ferns are hardy in your area they can be planted outside in a shady location, and generally winters provide enough cool/wet weather that they should not dry out. Do you know the name of your ferns?
