I have seen these bugs in my kitchen, mainly on the countertops. What type of bug is it and how do I get rid of them? I appreciate your assistance. Thanks!

Its a grain beetle in the genus Oryzaephilus, either a saw-toothed grain beetle or a merchant grain beetle; common pantry pests. See http://www.bugclinic.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=sawtooth for some control suggestions.
