CLOSED: Gold Metallic Beetle

Jackson, MO(Zone 6b)

There's two bugs there. Ahem. This bug was bright, gold, metallic in the sunshine. The camera did not pick up on this. I don't know if you can recognize it or not.
It was on a Morning Glory Vine in SE Mo.

The larger beetle is a special kind of leaf beetle known as a tortoise beetle, see http://www.cirrusimage.com/beetles_tortoise.htm for some other examples. The smaller one might be a lady beetle, but the image is not clear enough for me to be certain...

Thanks.
