Hey, I got it right! Question though: My (ahem...) Euonymus alatus doesn't have the "wings" on the branches that this one does. I guess they come in different cultivated varities then, right?

You likely have the most commonly cultivated form, Euonymus alatus 'Compactus' syn. 'Compacta', in which the wings are diminutive or approximated by lines along stems.
I don't deserve a gold star because I spelled "varieties" incorrect in my last post... As a teacher I find that horrifying! lol
