Is there a photo ID reference to determine male and female for this species? These photos are from a recent hatch and were taken 27 July 2016 next to a woods where they were feeding on teasle plant flowers.
The location was Krull Park - Niagara County, NY in the Northwestern part of the state on the south shore of Lake Ontario not far from Niagara Falls, NY
Photos were taken with a Canon 7D Mark II DSLR with a Canon EF Mark II 100-400mm telephoto lens and 1.4X -II teleconverter.
Thank you for your considerations.
Regards,
Jonathan
