Why did this happen to my Floradade Tomatoes?

Does anyone know why this happened to my Floradade tomatoes? They are mostly really small, approximately 2-3 inches, barely bigger than cherry tomatoes. And, many of them did this. Some of them are 3-4 small tomatoes merged together. I get that they are crammed together on the branch, but shouldn't they have grown normally and self adjusted?

HI,
To me, it looks like the tomato thought about making a second tomato and decided not to. That happens every once in awhile. Why? I don't know. Maybe somebody very scientific could answer that question as for the exact reason this happens.
At first glance, I thought it was a fluctuation in water, but think it's really just the fact the tomato almost made a double. Interesting question!

Weird shapes are usually a genetic problem. It's not a whole plant problem but an anomaly that occurs when the individual tomato fruit forms and cell division occurs at a rapid rate. Extreme weather conditions are a factor (like heat). Your plants should self correct when it cools down. I don't know if hybrid tomatoes are more susceptible due to less stable genes.
