how to mark thread closed

For years I have been too embarrassed to post this! But I've looked and looked and cannot find where to click to close a thread. I've looked under edit and lots of other places but can't find anything that says "close this thread" or anything similar. Please help!

In most forums, only an Admin can close a thread. If you ask a question in one of the "ID" forums (bird, plant, bug identification etc) then you have an option to close the thread if your question has been answered. Hope this helps!

I should have looked for an example... here's a screenshot of one I posted in the plant identification forum. If there's an option to close the thread, it will be obvious :-)
