I planted a half of tray of dead nettle that arrived slightly root bound, so I loosened the matting to give the new roots a place to grow out which I'm sure damaged them a bit. Then I inadvertently sprinkled preen on them while I was using it on the adjacent established bed without thinking. My question is: Do you think the Preen will prevent new roots from being put down? I hope all my work didn't go down the tube :(
Preen
Since it is for tough weed problems, its apt to kill unestablished plants. Yank, rinse and plant in pots for abt 5-6 wks
I thought preen only stopped seeds from germinating but didn't harm plants?
It's a pre emergent, but I believe works as they sprout as well.
Oh no .... going to remove them today. Next time I really need to think more :/
