Hello,

I'm intrigued by this fly/moth creature--hovers somewhat like a bee, at first I thought its wings were damaged, but looking closer, they appear transparent in sections. Any clue?

Fascinating--thank you. He was hovering near a carpenter bee hole---just read how they feed on their larvae.
