It has leaves growing out of leaves. I've never seen a plant like this. Please help me find out what it is. I think its now growing two new spikes.
What is this plant?
Citrus occasionally leaf like that, but I cannot remember what your plant might be- the one I saw came from south of the USA.
It looks like one of the 'cactus' epiphyllums , tropical, great in baskets under trees. It will probably have a large cactus like flower when it blooms. Very popular in humid areas, like along SoCal coast. Do not plant it in the ground, I've seen that many times, they just die. In San Jose spray it with water, very light orchid fertilizer, filtered shade. If really cold winter storm threatens bring it inside.
I don't think it is an Epiphyllum, but I don't know what it is. Try posting this in the Plant Identification Forum-lots of helpful and knowledgeable folks hang out over there!
