Longhorn Beetles - British Columbia, Canada

Cranbrook, Canada

Is there any chance that in the incredible number of beetles species, that these are distinctive enough to identify beyond being longhorn beetles? Any chance they'd be long brown spotted beetles (Ortholeptura valida)? Sorry I just have a screen capture or the video to watch. Would it even be two different species? They were at about 3000 feet elevation just north of Vancouver. Thanks in advance for any help!

You have two species of longhorns in the subfamily Lepturinae; the ones on the left appear to be Evodinus monticola vancouveri – see http://plant.cdfa.ca.gov/byciddb/images/E/Evodinus_monticola_vancouveri_Casey_LGB.jpg and the ones on the right may be Pidonia scripta - http://naturewatch.org.nz/taxa/318491-Pidonia-scripta
You also appear to have a rove beetle (family Staphylinidae) mucking about in there as well...

My thanks again Flapdoodle! You've been such a great resource over the years! I may have a moth ID to post soon also. I admire your knowledge in an area such as insects...

Hey, I happen to have another video of longhorns getting frisky. They were about an hour east of Vancouver in the Fraser River Valley... near sea level I would imagine.

My thanks as always...

EDIT: Now I think they are common red soldier beetles (Rhagonycha fulva) and have changed the title in the interim...
