This is likely a dumb question .... Van Well Nursery sells Peach Trees with Rootstock "Seed" . Does this mean they are growing from seed or grafting onto seed rootstock? Does this make for a good tree? Normally I buy trees with Lovell rootstock as it is recommended for my area (Central Virginia). I cannot find any comments on using seed rootstock, I realize that Peach trees grown from seed normally lose some of the characteristics of the grafted tree. Please help me figure this out ....
Peach Trees on Peach Tree Rootstock ....
What it means is that the vendor does not know what it is either! I would only use the rootstock that would be successful in your area and/or that which you have experience success. Unless ofcourse you have endless space my tree are on lovell as well Good luck
