CLOSED: Small black bugs on our zucchini leaves

Lakeside, CA

Hi there, We were harvesting some of our zucchini this morning and found this cluster of small black bugs and their eggs on one of the plant leaves. We have never seen them before and they don't look good! Does anyone know what they are and if they are friends or foes? If they are foes please tell us how to get rid of them organically. Thank you for your help!

These are newly hatched nymphs of a stink bug (family Pentatomidae); most of these are plant feeders and can be serious pests, but quite a few species are predators on other arthropods. Unfortunately, I cannot tell what species yours might be.

Thank you so much. We do have a lot of adult black stink bugs in the area so now that I look at the photo they do look like tiny stink bugs. I have never noticed what they are eating though so will have to watch them a little more closely. Thank you again!
