Does anyone know what kind of wasp this is? There are probably 6 of these wasps that have now taken over my mason bee house. They protect it like it's theirs...so I'm assuming they done live the solitary life. I'm thinking I need to get rid of them. But I'm not sure how at this point. Sorry the pic isn't that great. I didn't want to get too close.

A clearer image would help - it resembles a paper wasp in the genus Polistes, but this would be unusual behavior for such wasps...
