Both seen in northern Spain recently
2 more beetles/bugs for ID
The first one is a metallic wood borer, family Buprestidae – see http://kwast-buprestidae.blogspot.com/p/spain-june-2013.html for some examples. The second one is a checkered beetle (family Cleridae), see http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4018/4693118373_c43f82b67b_m.jpg for an example.
