The leaves on this tree were serrated - I'm not sure if the pictures pick that up. These trees were pretty big - not just shrub sized. I'm very curious about this one.

Another Tree ID Please
Likely Lentago - Viburnum lentago, that is, also goes by Nannyberry Viburnum. Makes a nice small tree in the Crabapple, Dogwood, or Redbud size. Gets nice big (edible) fruit clusters come fall. Very well suited for you in the northern tier of states.
