Today i came back from school (Im 16) and noticed on my front door a spider. At first i wasnt bothered but i noticed it had a white semi circle across its back. I didnt have my phone on me but when i got it and went back to take a picture it had gone.
I know its a horrible MS paint to go by but its what i mean by a white semi circle.
It wasnt that big at all, it had two of its legs at the very front that were rather long. Im sorry i cant provide a picture and not that much information but this just happened and im rather spooked.
I live in Southampton, United Kingdom.

Spotted black spider with white stripes ACROSS its back
I can think of at least two possibilities:
1. A cobweb spider in the genus Steatoda - see http://www.biopix.net/photos/steatoda-bipunctata-00015.jpg for an example
2. The so-called 'invisible spider' (Drapetisca socialis) - see http://www.bund-bretten.de/wp-content/uploads/Drapetisca-socialis-1-.jpg
Yea it was the "invisible spider" Thanks for the help
