Hi there
I would appreciate some help so so much please. We live in London and our windows is next to a drain pipe. We are constantly hearing buzzing noises and being bitten at night and these are the two inspects we notice A LOT of outside our windows.
Please could you tell me the name of both?
The bigger one does and doesnt look like a mosquitp because on close inspection it doesnt have what google shows mosquitos to have.
Please help us.

The first one is a crane fly (family Tipulidae), the second one is a moth fly (family Psychodidae); neither would be capable of biting...
Thank you so much, is it only mosquitoes which make a buzzing sound at night and bite leaving you with an itch?
We live in London there aren't normally mosquitoes but we hear a high pitched buzzing at night and get bitten. This is so confusing
Mosquitoes would be a likely suspect...
