Thanksgiving meal on wheels

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

First I want to say that I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.I love to read the posts and see what others had for their Thanksgiving feast.
DH and I cooked everything yesterday morning as this was the first Thanksgiving that my small family would'nt be coming to our house because of the birth of my new GD.We baked the candied yams and mashed the taters and even made the gravy and packed everything up in a huge box and taped it shut. We put the turkey hot from the oven in another large box and put all this in the back of the pickup truck. Laughing all the way at the idea that we would look behind us and see a pack of hungry coyotes or neighborhood dogs chasing us down the road with the smell of turkey wafting in the air.Within 35 minutes of leaving our house we were sitting down to dinner which was still piping hot when we got to DD house.I hope everyones day was as wonderful as ours. It was truly a day to be thankful.

Well done! The logistics of moving a feast can de daunting but to manage to get it there still hot! That is a truly magical feat!
