Hi All,
This is not the first time I've seen a spider similar to this in the house...
Today it creepily appeared after shifting some laundry baskets around.
Got it into a plastic food storage container, which is when the photos were taken. I was surprised to discover this spider was not very good at climbing out. Anyhow it's probably living under our front porch now.

This is a cobweb/comb-footed spider (family Theridiidae) in the genus Steatoda; possibly S. bipunctata. They usually build their rather messy webs in dark, out of the way places such as in basements, closets, under sinks, etc. They are not aggressive, but some species can deliver a painful bite if mishandled (personal experience)...
