My husband just bought some calla lily for the front yard!! So lovely. Zantesdeschia Regal and Lolly Pop. I'm wondering whether I should put hem in the ground or keep them in pots. As I understand the conditions for this plant, I will need to dig them up each Fall to freeze them before they will grow and flower here in Charleston, SC. I'm considering 3 options. Pot them up and keep them in pots for ease of bulb care. Put them in the ground which is sandy and drains readily. Dig holes and place a pot in each hole so they are ground level but easy to retrieve. Any suggestions for proper care would be greatly appreciated.
