We planted a bunch of herbs in different large pots a month or so ago on our deck. I just looked and these buggers are ALL over the chives (not on any of the other herbs or pots, as far as I can see). Any idea as to what they are? I guess we won't be having chives anytime soon!
These are aphids, aka 'plant lice'. Try washing them off with a strong stream of water from a garden hose, and if that doesn't work, try an application of an insecticidal soap...
