I got a few bites in the house that caused some swelling. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Then I met this guy. His leg span was a bit bigger than a 50 cent piece. Any ideas what kind of spider this is? Took some courage to get him safely outside.

Unfortunately, your images are not clear enough for a positive identification. That aside, it certainly does not look like anything that you would have to worry about; perhaps a wolf spider...
