If ice plants are good at choking out weeds will they choke out flowers in the flower bed (Iris',Tulips,Daffodills)?
Ice Plants
You did not give a species name, so I am guessing you might be referring to the genus Delosperma?

Personally, my gardening involves US natives, so I cannot help you by experience. I used to battle the non-native chickweed growing among my native flowers, but found it makes a good tea, salad and salve. Now I just let it go, and found it doesn't choke anything out. It's kind of cute, too.
I hope someone comes by who can help you better. My children have their tulips which seem to come up early and do their thing right among some of my natives and both seem to do ok.
one of the species names is Delosperma
