I was just cleaning out my yard and found two fairly smooth wooden poles -- I'd even call them dowels -- about 10 feet tall and about 1 1/4" (one and a quarter inches) in diameter. Is there any chance a Morning Glory or other annual flowering vine would be able to wrap its tendrils around those and climb?

Can Morning Glory or other vines climb up a 1 1/4\" diameter wooden dowel?
Mg's don;t wrap tendrils, they wrap the entire vining stem itself around any thing
for the most part. A 1 and 1/4 in dowel isn't going to present any problems for it.
Thanks.
