then again my mom says i have a "leather tongue" when it comes to heat tolerance, lol. When we eat something thats supposed to be spicy i sometimes will not even sense any heat, and she is over there puffing and fanning her tongue, LOL!

Quote from jmc1987 :
i do remember you saying that you keep your plants closely grouped together.

this could be really possible

Nice haul!

Harvested all the remaining Gretel eggplants to give the plants a chance to start up again. Lots of new blooms everywhere. I figure as long as I keep them fed, watered & comfortable, they might crank up again. I've already put up a boatload in the freezer.

Also, harvested all the Purple Hull Peas. Out of the 4x8 bed, I got about 3 cups of peas. They were labeled 2014 & 2015 seeds, but, this was my first attempt, and I'm ok. I simmered them down with some seasonings for 75 minutes. VERY good!

Cut all the vines back to 4-5" in hopes of them starting up again.

FINALLY, there are blooms on the Betty's White Okra. TWO of them. And, I can see tiny pods underneath.

Dehydrated some Chili Peppers over the weekend, with more to come. The Tabasco pepper plants are loaded with greenies. Just a matter of time, now.

Good golly, Linda! Your garden is going like gangbusters!

No, no, no, Steph! LOLOL!

Those are three isolated pics. Not much else going on in my garden, except for the eggplants, the peppers, and the okra that's about to burst forth.

Hopefully, in about 2 more months, my garden WILL be going like gangbusters, LOL, full of fall/winter veggie seedlings!

Hugs!

Here's a 270° (sort of) of my yard. I stood in one place and turned around, LOL! As you can see, there's not a LOT growing in it. Just little pockets of stuff... Considering taking down the tree in the middle of the yard....it's sucking up more and more of my sunshine...

This starts in the SW corner, and moves along the west (back) fenceline)...

Continuing to the NW corner (crepe Myrtle & sagos), north fenceline (peppers) and the east Kale bed (against wall on the back of the house...)

The Improved Meyer Lemon is in a pot near the patio cover, under which I'm standing...

I didn't turn around to capture the back wall of the house, under the patio cover...

Last harvests.
Picture #4 are my last tomatoes.
Now all the tomato plants have been removed. Long beans are growing there.
I roasted and preserved another batch of red peppers. This year are just incredible.
Now I can rest a little bit.
I just need to pick okra every day.

Linda, what are you trapping in that cage?

That morning I was after a cat. Caught two juvenile squirrels, instead. Let 'em go.

The cat's pooping my yard....But, upon further examination, he's keeping the squirrels out of my yard, and the tree roaches in check...

We might strike up a truce....

Yeah! First watermelon harvest of the year!
