I was given a cutting some years ago, when I lived in the South East of England, which thrived and provided me with lovely hedging, but I cant remember the name of the plant and am hoping someone will know what I mean.
It is deciduous, grows to just over 6ft, it is fairly delicate and has small christmas tree shaped pink flowers which appear from May to August. I think it came from somewhere in the Hymalayas.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Identifying a Plant.
I know very little about plants outside of what I grow myself, but tried searching using your description. It sounds beautiful.
Are you able to a picture of the leaves and maybe a picture of the whole shrub? Even if I cannot help you, I hope someone else will come by.
Tell us whether your hedging plant was evergreen or deciduous.
If you still know anyone who lives near where you were living in the southeast of England, ask them if they would take some pictures of this plant and send them to you. That would make it much easier to ID.
It might be Spiraea douglasii.
Or clethra alnifolia?
