Found on dock on the Chesapeake. Are they the same species of spider?

Two very different spiders. The first one is an orb weaver (family Araneidae), likely in the genus Araneus; the second one is a jumping spider (family Salticidae), hut I would lie to see a full dorsal view before attempting a more specific i.d.
