Can anyone help with this bug? I was bit yesterday by it and it seems to be turning red on my back so I was just curious

This is a nymph of an assassin bug, likely one known as a wheel bug (Arilus cristatus) - see http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3723/9168801221_0cd3b538f7_z.jpg for an image. Their 'bite' (actually more of a stab) can be quite painful, but it is not dangerous.
