I've walked by these a thousand times, but I've never bothered to ask what species are used for these landscaping trees. It's not a yew or an arborvitae or a juniper. What is it?

I don't know if that's an issue in Massachusetts. Spider mites thrive in hot humid climes like the Ohio River valley region, on species that ought to be growing a couple zones cooler.
