This insect was photographed at the North Park Village Nature Center in Chicago in early August last year. I can't find it in any of my bug books. Any help with ID would be appreciated.

This is Tritoxa incurva, a picture-winged fly in the family Ulidiidae - http://www.cirrusimage.com/fly_Ulidiidae_Tritoxa_incurva.htm. Its unusual appearance seems to attract attention wherever it is found...
Thank you for the ID. Even after looking it up in the indexes of my books this fly does not appear in any of them.
