bed bug or mite?

Found on a table at my school. Recently there has been an outbreak of bed bugs, but there is also a student that has 16 chickens in her home and on furniture. Attached pics are from under a microscope. Size of bug is smaller than tip of a pencil, almost invisible to naked eye. Had it in a sealed plastic bag overnight and bug appeared to still be moving/twitching under the micrscope 36 hrs later

This is a mite, but difficult to say exactly what kind. The first image makes it appear as if its front pair of legs are much longer than the others, in which case it could be a clover mite (basically are harmless nuisance pest).
