Baby walking stick...?

Elmira, OR

Hello! I was in the yard building a cabinet for my mom this morning and noticed a tiny bug on one of the shelves. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture, and my mom isn't home (she has some)... I scribbled a crude image, just so there would be some kind of reference.

Some features I noticed were a fairly long proboscis, antennae with a black dot in the center and a slightly elongated black ball on the ends, and an abdomen slightly fatter than its body. Also, it was just shy of an inch long.

I thought walking stick at first, but I've never seen one... I looked online for a bit and saw similar images of a "thread legged bug"... But those seem to have arms like mantids and this little guy definitely did not.

If this is a walking stick, what kind is it? Thanks!

An assassin bug might be another possibility...

Strike that thought - all assassin bugs have raptorial front legs, although i some species, these can be very slender.
On the other hand, some leaf-footed bugs (family Coreidae) can have antennae that somewhat resemble your description - http://www.colinlmiller.com/wildlife/hemiptera/bug_20.jpg

Thanks for the response. I did some more digging and came to the conclusion that it is a "spined stilt bug"... Haha. Sounds so obvious. :)
