I live in central Texas. I planted sunflowers 2 weeks ago. I have found bugs on them, and I'm concerned about them. I have no idea what they are, but they almost look like ticks to me. There are tons of them on my plants. Any help would be appreciated!

These are not ticks, but they are mites. The images are not clear enough to be certain, but one possibility is clover mites. In spite of that name, these mites will feed on a wide variety of plants, but seldom seem to cause serious damage. See http://landscapeipm.tamu.edu/ipm-for-turfgrass/pests-turfgrass/mites-2/
Awesome! Thank you!
