Chinese black bat flower and the corpse flower. Check attached images.
Can anybody help me with details where I can find these plants?
Thanks in advance!
I want to have these unusual flowers on my garden
anyone?
The first one is Tacca Chantrieri. I have killed 2! Your only chance is to grow it inside, better in a tropical greenhouse!. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/54257/#b I doubt your nurseries would have it. Google it with for sale and a site may come up. eBay sometimes has it.
Amorphophallus titanum also can be tricky to grow outside a greenhouse. I have killed 2 of these also. They did great but after they went dormant, never re-spouted. Rotted. I bought mine at the nursery section of UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley. I know eBay has them on occasion.
Here you go! They have a large selection of similar oddities for you to drool over:

Here's a site offering the Tacca.

These are not garden plants. People who successfully grow them are experts in controlled environment greenhouses and work hard at it even so. Also, both plants get HUGE!
Maybe something smaller, more affordable and easier to grow. How about Dracula orchids and Jack in the Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum)?
