As title says, got bitten by this. Pictures taken the exact moment it happend.
Anyone know what kind of spider this is?
KR.
I got bitten by this today.
Wish I could tell you for sure that it's not a widow spider or a recluse... all I can say is that I hope you're OK! If the area around the bite starts really swelling, getting hot, or changing color -- get help. Likewise, go to the hospital if you start feeling strange -- dizzy, sweating, heart racing, anything that's suddenly different could mean you're reacting to the poison (or having a panic attack because you think you may have been bitten by a deadly spider LOL). Even non-dangerous spider bites are no fun... they hurt, they itch, they turn funny bruise-like colors.
How big was the spider? (I can't tell if those are big blades of dried grass or tiny green leaves in your photo)
This is not a spider, but a related arachnid in the order Opiliones. Commonly known as harvestmen or 'daddy long-legs', they lack fangs or venom glands, and I have been unable to find a verified account of one biting a human. So, if you actually were bitten by this creature, that would seem to constitute an exceedingly rare event. However, ones in the family Gonyleptidae, which yours appears to belong, have very spiny legs, and it is possible that you may have had your skin punctured by such a spine. Also see http://www.efn.uncor.edu/departamentos/divbioeco/DivAni1/luis/op/OP.html for more information.

Thank you both for your answers.
Okey, so I had to go to a clinic yesterday. Few seconds after I got bitten, a burning felling came up..,and it was strong.
At the clinic I was given 300 milligrams of Corticosteroid and I was prescribed two antibiotics, plus cleaning the wound - that its getting worst in less than 24 hours - 3 times a day. All this just to see how it progresses...
Its size was approximately 3~3.5cm and clearly they had fangs, I cant tell you that.
And by the way, still in pain.

Well, the critter in your image clearly appears to me to be an opilionid and not a spider, and no opiliones have true fangs. However, some species have greatly elongated mouthparts that might be mistaken for fangs - see http://static.palaeontologyonline.com/fossil_focus_chelicerata_7.jpg for an example. Also, the largest known opilionids have a body length of about 2.5 cm, but with legs outspread, likely would appear to be quite a bit larger. Should you encounter another one of these, please try to obtain a clearer image; that would help greatly in confirming or refuting this identification.
Thanks again Flapdoodle.
Today I was looking for it but I couldn't find it.
Should I be worry about the bite ?
The only worry would be if the wound site were to become secondarily infected with bacteria...
Flap, thanks for the link to the photos... that sure doesn't look like the daddy long-legs around here LOL.. learned something today! I do think though that the intense burning right after being bitten (or stabbed) sounds like a reaction to venom. Are there any opiliones with venomous spines?
Alemarzu, how is your arm today?
To the best of my knowledge, no opiliones have been found to have venomous spines. For more details on opilionid biology, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opiliones
Thanks! It's a puzzle.

Yeah, thats why I was kinda worry about it. I'm okey now, pain is decreasing gradually.
Got bitten on my knee actually, and this is how it looks now.
1. 8/03 at 21:45, was taken 2 mins after the bite. Wound started to get bigger. Pain was scary, it begins a few seconds after, spread from the knee to my ancle. Some burning sensation too.
2. 9/03 at 17:00, It seems that Corticosteroids did their job, no more burning sensation and less pain. Wound got bigger.
3. 10/03 at 20:30, Less pain than yesterday and I dont know if its healing to be honest, not yet. Wound got bigger.
This is it.
EDIT: The middle picture is the third, from today actually.

I'm glad you're in less pain! I'm not a doc, but if the corticosteroids helped, maybe it was partly an allergic reaction? Compared to the damage from a recluse bite, the wound hasn't enlarged that much. I've had spider bites that look similar (from some unknown little spider in the house, usually one that bit me while I was sleeping, and no not a bedbug!), but without the burning pain.
Hope it heals quickly from now on!
Been following this interesting thread. I would think an unidentified insect bite in your region should be monitored for potential chagas infection beyond the possibility of bacterial infection.
Flapdoodle, could this be a South American species of assassin bug/Triatominae based on symptomology? I would suspect that if I saw a patient presenting with those visuals and complaints.
Settle down folks - the critter in the picture, whether or not it is the exact one that bit alemarzu, is NOT an insect, but a harmless opilionid. There is no need for any control!
