Opinions Please, can we get a Swap together?

Fort Worth, TX

I am going to try to make the 26th unless I have to work, got my charity gig over last weekend. Will also try to make June. Have lots to trade off

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I will not be able to make the swap on the 26th. Too many activities at church for Easter.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Neither will I, we will have to arrange something later.

Fort Worth, TX

I am thinking I may be working. When it is time it will work out.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Besides all that, I haven't had time to dig and pot stuff up! I need to divide and move some plants, so doing it later will really be best for me.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Excellent, It looks like later on will be best.

Dallas, TX

Later is better if for no other reason then it will give everyone time to get back on DG for spring and summer advice. Plus it will give people time to pot up starts, etc. Not to mention finding a new party place.

Nothing to be concerned about, but due to surgery (please no questions) in Feb. I might not be up for the next RU. Wait and see is my response. That's also why I said 'later is better'.

Fort Worth, TX

since we got rained out last year, I won't have a weekend off in the entire month of April, so later is DEFINITELY better for me. Am trying to pot up a few things, and plant a few other things during April. Have a hard time with names of stuff from prior RU's, so expect questions.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Good to hear from you Joan, I am very busy now as well, so we will talk about it later.

Fort Worth, TX

Any prospective dates?

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Things have been a bit crazy at work but are settling down, so I'm hoping to make it to the next one.

Hello Dennis! Long time no see! Hope you're doing well. How's your dad?

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Would love to come with Smockette and her mom. was in a car wreck (totaled our van) thanks to a woman who pulled in front of me and the end of February I had an emergency appendectomy. I did not trade at a swap yesterday as I am still drained from the surgery. I did help with the food and realized I am not as well recovered as I thought. It is more about being with friends than swapping :)

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello Dennis, good to hear from you and hope that you can make it, I don't know when yet.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Hello Ilovejessus99, I am sorry about the accident and also your surgery, I hope things will be better soon, and all will go back to normal.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Any thoughts on pulling this off? Josephine, I know you're busy with plant sales right now, but don't want us to forget.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I am still thinking sometime in June and just have one for this year.

Fort Worth, TX

sounds like a good time and a good plan. June is not so busy for me

Dallas, TX

So - any more thoughts about a June RU? Not that I really need any more plants. I just enjoy seeing everyone and talking plants. I'm wondering if we should wait for fall??? Could be getting hot soon. (Josephine, bet you're a little tired from yesterday's NPSOT sale.) Whatever we decide is ok with me.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, Sheila was at the sale helping with the butterfly plants and we talked with Stephanie and Gypsi. Sheila said that she would be glad to host a swap at her house in September, so that is where we stand now.
I think that is a good solution, and takes the pressure off having to rent a place.
I hope that is O.K. with everybody.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila said we could call it a thinning party because she has so much stuff that needs to be thinned out. LOL

Fort Worth, TX

She is not alone, bring friends with empty yards, I will be thinning and potting all summer.

Lewisville, TX(Zone 7b)

I may not be able to make it in the fall...that is my busiest time for my craft sales & we usually go on vacation somewhere in there with our usual group. But...don't worry about me...the group needs to meet hahahaha......

Fort Worth, TX

I work spring and fall, but spring is busier, I can schedule a day off in the fall more easily.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I vote for fall, too. I have tons of plants right now to offload, though. I might offer them up on my neighborhood's site. I usually get takers that way.

Fort Worth, TX

I have put iris on Freecycle (Crowley Burleson) and found some homes before

Lewisville, TX(Zone 7b)

I am still interested in a fall RU despite my situation!!!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Cindy, we are thinking of having it in September at Sheila's house if it works out.
I will let you know as we get closer.

Fort Worth, TX

Tell me what to pot up and I will. I have an extra flame vine already if I can keep it alive, and I need to lift some heartleaf scullcap and I have a lot of ajuga. I also may still have some other stuff that needs adopted as I am running out of yard.

Lewisville, TX(Zone 7b)

Frostweed...we are not available the last week of Sept.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

O.K. I will let Sheila know Cindy.

Dallas, TX

Gypsi - tell me about your ajuga. What kind(color)? Shade? Rate of spread? Thanks.

Fort Worth, TX

more water more spread. Blooms in spring, lavender. dark green leaves. photos somewhere but at moment very busy want to slow spread quit watering, easy to remove roots do not go terribly deep

Dallas, TX

Gypsi, don't worry about pix. You told me what I wanted to know. Unless I misunderstood (possible), yours are solid green. I know there are multi-colored ones but if I had to pick my preference I'd still be trying to decide next year. I am glad to know that the roots aren't deep. Thx.

Fort Worth, TX

leaves are a solid dark green, yes

Prosper, TX(Zone 8a)

I kinda wish we could get a fall round up organized as it would be great to see everyone again.

Fort Worth, TX

It would

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I will talk to Sheila and see what she has to say.

Fort Worth, TX

I am trying to recruit bee club members...
