Opinions Please, can we get a Swap together?

I would be very sad if the friendships we started died for lack of participation.
What do you all say, can we get it together? and if so When and Where?
Come on Ladies let us do it.

I'm in and available Saturday and Sunday. Maybe we could have it in Arlington again, or even out at Sybil's. Didn't someone else volunteer their place?

I don't know about Sybil, maybe we could have it there, she hasn't been on DG for a while, we shall see.

I am not available Saturday March 26th, other than that not sure, will see what date comes up. Not volunteering my place - too many dogs and too messy. Maybe when the gardens are finished, we could do it on the lot. (dogs not allowed on lot)

I agree, Josephine. I'm available any weekend, except March 19/20. Not sure I will have anything to swap, but would like to see my old DG friends.

I don't know when or where, the pavilion seems too pricey for just a few people and Sheila can't do it she has a lot to do and figure out now.

Maybe. But the expensive part is the rent on the pavilion. What about Trinity park Fort Worth - does it also require renting a pavilion?

darn. that's the one day I have a workday at a church I have committed to. Maybe no one else will want to work and we can cancel it. That happens a lot. If no one else works I can come to RU

alright, I am bumping the church workday, at least my part of it, up into the next couple of weeks, their pond is not going to last until march 26th without repairs

Yes I think so, the leader is Sylviatex she has been to some of our swaps. She is the one with a lot of Iris.

I can make the last hour of it I am afraid. This is my busy season, and I had to skip february service on an account, only free day is march 26th.. If it were our normal 1 to 4, I could do it.

This thread seems to be stuck, I hope they can do something about it.

don't know about stuck, it works and showed that it had a new post besides mine. I think the stuck is nobody posting to it. I can attend a plant swap or roundup in late april or early may or anytime in summer probably. But March - with mainly having weekend crews - is a lost cause.

It isn't stuck for me anymore, Josephine. But other threads are...weird.

Well it seems we are unstuck now and the dates are current.

If you want to hold the swap where I am on a volunteer project converting a pond to a pondless waterfall at a church I can be there, lol. I don't know if I will have time to pot and divide before then, but if you are going Stephanie, could I send some plants with you?

Just now getting back into DG after long absence due to family crisis and lots of hours enjoying my quilting machine. Spent all last week working on my butterfly garden and, of course, that made me think of this group. I can't participate in a swap because I had some sort of insect invasion on a lot of my plants last spring and summer. Don't want to pass the problem to anyone else without knowing what to do about it. So far, everything looks good.

Very disappointed with the "new" look of DG and how hard it is to navigate. This is awful. Yahoo Groups were ruined by the same kind of changes, in my opinion. Glenna.

I had popped into this thread a few weeks back but realized I wouldn't be able to make the trinity park swap that was/is in the works. June sounds great for me as well.. I just can't do Sunday the 5th. I look forward to these swaps and am ready to get back into my garden this year. Last year was a terrible year for my family and a lot of plants died as a result :(
