Wierd Caterpiller-like insect - Help identify?
This is a caterpillar of a moth in the family Geometridae, a huge family containing thousands of species (nearly 1500 in North America alone). They sometimes are called loopers or inchworms because of their peculiar mode of locomotion. See http://insects.about.com/od/butterfliesmoths/p/Geometer-Moths-Inchworms-And-Loopers-Family-Geometridae.htm
Thanks Flapdoodle! that's the one
