Anyone have any experience sterilizing their own soil with which to start seeds in? if so, could you please share your experience? How do you cook it and at what temp? Can you successfully sterilize soil from the ground?
sterilizing your own soil
are you starting seeds in pots indoors, under lights? Outdoor soil is not the best, texture wise, for pots.
this would be for starting seeds indoors, yes.

You should not use regular garden soil for starting seeds indoors. It is too heavy.
Seed starting MIxes are light, fluffy and contain NO soil.
Home Depot carries a couple nice ones. Check the ones by "Jiffy"
MG is OK--but I like the Organic ones better. The peat Moss in these is much lighter.
Peat Moss is the main ingredient in Seed Starting Mixes. Very fine peat Moss...
