Hello, i live in New Hampshire. I keep collecting these fellas off my white walls. I havnt seen them in the past, but over this month of January I have been picking these off my walls. I live in a newly built apartment complex on the 2nd floor. I see one about every two -three days.
Could you please help me identify this creature and tell me why are they invading my room. I am slightly scared of bugs and such. Is this seasonal? What can I do?
Thank you.

It's a weevil in the subfamily Entiminae (short-snouted/broad-nosed weevils); likely a black vine weevil. These commonly come indoors for shelter, but do no harm there. Their larvae on the other hand can be garden/agricultural pests. See http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/black-vine-weevil
