From what I've read so far, these look like ants. I'm really hoping so!
However, we're aware that the place we're in has had termites in the past (with the doors having extensive damage when we moved in), but assumed that it must have been treated as the damage didn't worsen.
But now we're seeing lots of these 2mm long 'ants' running all over our furniture in areas where there isn't any food - like bookshelves etc. And boy can they run!
So I'm just looking for some confirmation that all our new furniture isn't being eaten away by termites.
