Hi,
For school I am doing a research assignment which explores which fertilizer is the best for growing wheat. I am testing the effect of; osmocote, thrive, urea and cresco as well as a control.
I have found NPK ratios for all these fertilizers (is urea 46:0:0?) and I am really just looking for an ideal NPK to grow wheat and ideally which fertilizer will work the best and why.
Thanks very much,
Stefan :)
School Assignment - Nutritional requirements of wheat
That is your school assignment.
Given the importance of wheat worldwide, and the large amount of effort invested by government agriculture departments and industry in studying ways to increase yield, there will be a great deal of info available if you make the effort to search it out.
School assignments. Here we have a County Extension agents office with lots of pamphlets and accumulated data. In Texas we have Texas A&M in Bryan with tons of years of agricultural diplomas being earned to access knowledge. Not sure what the equivalents would be in Australia for resources. Oh, and Calif has Univ of Ca at Davis as well! Luck with the assignment, :)
