Hello everyone, I am new to this site and would like to say thanks first since I have come here for valuable information in the past, I was wondering if anybody here would help me identifying what's wrong with my tree, this Cassia I bought it a few years back from top tropicals nursery, the young tree around spring starts with new growth but when fully mature, the leaves never turn the dark green they are supposed to be, I have tried measuring the soil PH( found to be neutral to acidic), I have tried epsom salts which helped a bit and ultimately ironite but the problem persists, the laves never reach to be dark green and then they all get brownish and like burnt at the edges, this happens every year, I wonder if I have a any pest killing my trees as the pictures also shows a dying totally defoliated cassia javanica in the background which I finally gave up with...I appreciate any advise from anyone here. Thank you.

Your tree looks like it's suffering from iron and magnesium deficientcy. If your soil test showed the soil is at the right pH, then another problem exists that's preventing your tree from absorbing nutrients.

Are you over watering? Is your soil clay? Does the area your tree is planted in have poor drainage? Too much phosphorus will also keep plants from absorbing iron and magnesium.

The next test you have done on your soil should be one that shows what nutrients are there/missing.

Thank you daisyplantlady for your response, we do not have over or under watering and the soil around here is well drained, I too thought about the iron and manganese problems after reading around here but after using iron and epson salts from the big stores it helped a little with the yellowing but has not helped much with the leaves edges being burnt, I think I will have to bring a soil sample to the county agriculture dept. for testing as you suggest. Thank you.
